Ireland in the fall is truly remarkable. Itâ??s not as hot as the summer months and thereâ??s just a magical feel in the air. Fortunately for travelers, there are all sorts of events that they can participate in while visiting Ireland in the fall.



Indulge In Oysters

Oyster season occurs during the fall months in Ireland. While here, make sure you indulge as much as possible in them as you will be hard pressed to find better oysters anywhere else in the world. Numerous restaurants will be offering a variety of oyster inspired dishes. If you are looking for a great meal with a good view, head over to the Boatyard Restaurant & Bar in Dingle. Here they have an extensive menu that includes everything from oysters to fishcakes.



Explore Beautiful Gardens

Ireland is absolutely gorgeous, especially in the fall. Mount Stewart Gardens, located in Newtownards, is the perfect place to go for those that want to explore some of the beautiful gardens in Ireland. It features different themed gardens, woodlands to walk through and a beautiful lake to marvel at. If you happen to visit the gardens in early November, you can even go on a behind the scenes tour that is led by Neil Porteous, the head gardener.



Get To Know Dracula

Bram Stoker, the author of the famous novel Dracula, was actually born in Dublin. To honor him, the city hosts the Bram Stoker Festival that will be taking place October 26-29 this year. Events will include Gothic-inspired concerts, literary events, performances and haunted walking tours.

 


Enjoy Music

If you enjoy bagpipes, make it a point to attend the William Kennedy Piping Festival that will be occurring in Armagh in the middle of November. Attendees can enjoy various concerts as well as an art exhibition and workshops on pipe maintenance. The event was named after a piper and pipe maker who was blind.

 


Get Your Adrenaline Fix

In the fall, you can enjoy the Northern Ireland Festival of Racing. It is always held on the first weekend of November at takes place at the Down Royal Racecourse in Lisburn. Even if you arenâ??t much of a gambler and donâ??t want to place any bets, you can still enjoy the race and the unique atmosphere of it. Every year people from all over the world are in attendance at this event and you canâ??t help but get your adrenaline fix while here.
